The beauty of the terraces
Fornalutx is located in the valley of Sóller, in the foothills of the Puig Major, the highest peak on the island. It is a small, tranquil and well-kept village where the mark of centuries past can still be seen everywhere - in the perfect, terraced landscapes of orange and olive trees and in the picturesque, cobbled streets. It is not surprising, therefore, that Fornalutx has won various awards for conservation and the upkeep of the village and its surroundings, such as the National Prize for Embellished and Well-Maintained Towns in Spain, amongst others.
